It could be infection.
You need to get the dog to the vet.
If it’s an intact female she could be coming into heat. If not, you need to see a vet. Blood in the urine can be serious.
Urinary tract infection, bladder stones, bladder cancer, or possibly even something else. Get your dog to the vet ASAP.
Could be any number of things from a tramatic injury to a UTI to bladder stones. All of which require a trip to the vet. That being said bright red blood typically indicates it is coming from the lower end of the urinary/reproductive system such as the urethra or prostate.
Might be as simple as a UTI which requires antibiotics like Clavamox, etc. Just getting your dog to drink more water won’t cure it. But, it could definitely be more than that. Go to a vet! There’s no excuse for not already having an appointment.
Urinary tract infection.
Take him to the vet asap and get antibiotics for him.
